Chapter 3 : Meat Market

Meat Market is a novel written by Juno Dawson. Jana, an ordinary girl from a south London estate, she is tall and gangly, she's uncomfortable with her androgynous looks until she's unexpectedly scouted and catapulted to superstardom.

But the fashion industry is as grimy as it is glamorous. And there are unexpected predators at every turn. It is honest and raw, this is a timely exposé of the dark underbelly of the fashion industry.

The idea of itself already attractive. The more you read, the more you will understand about Meat Market. The way Juno writes this story, it looks to real and how the fashion industry could be so destructive.

It will open your eyes to fashion industry that scout little girl to work as a model.

Even though it is London Trilogy #2 from Juno Dawson, this book can be read as standalone. Personally, I haven't read Clean, the London Trilogy #1, but I totally into this book. I am going to purchase Clean and Wonderland (Another 2 books for London Trilogy) in the future.

A quote that I found interesting from this book is:

"The meat market...we’re the hired flesh. They ship us in, marinade us, fry us. And we just take it. In fact, I think they’d rather we were corpses some days; we’d be easier to manage."
