Chapter 16 : The Darkest Corners

A novel by Kara Thomas, which is called The Darkest Corners is a psychological thriller about the lies little girls tell, and the deadly truths those lies become.

This novel tells a story about Tessa, who left Fayette, Pennsylvania after she witnessed the murders by serial killers who kill her best friend's cousin. But ever since she left, Tessa has had questions. Things have never quite added up. And now she has to go back to Fayette—to Wyatt Stokes, sitting on death row; to Lori Cawley, Callie’s dead cousin; and to the one other person who may be hiding the truth.

Only the closer Tessa gets to the truth, the closer she gets to a killer—and this time, it won’t be so easy to run away.

I have kind of mixed feeling about this book. To be honest, this book thrills and excites me in the same time. It is kind of slow-paced in the beginning, but it is getting interesting to discover the truth one by one.

It is an easy book to read which I will recommend this to beginner who loves crime, thriller and mystery, of course to anyone who loves plot twist.

In some way, I kind of disliking the plot twist but I also love it because I can't expect it at all.

In the end, I'm giving this book a 3.9/5 ✩. It's a good book to get you off a reading slump.

My favorite quote from this book :

" We're all capable of violence, but some of us are born with it in our blood. "
